The most common top 10 computer issues and the tips to troubleshoot and fix those problems are as follows:
1) The computer is unable to start up– If the computer does not turn on when you press the power button, the following suggestions may help you to determine why the computer will not start up. First of all, check if the computer is plugged in to an AC outlet properly. Plug another electrical device into the outlet to be sure that the outlet is providing adequate power.
2) The computer screen is blank– If the screen is blank, the computer may not be set to display the image on the computer screen. First, check if the monitor is plugged in to a power outlet and is connected to the computer securely and make sure the monitor power button is on. If the power light is not on, it means that the outlet is not delivering power to the monitor. Fixing the power outlet in such cases should help you.
3) Trouble with video card– If the power light of the computer and monitor is on and nothing comes up on the screen when you start your computer then there must be something wrong with video card. You should take your computer to a repair shop or change its video or the graphics card with a new one.

Computers need regular maintenance, I know this comes as a shock to some of you, but it's true nonetheless.
It's best if we break things down into two sections, the first are those that should be done regularly, the next are those that only need to be done once, or very infequently.
First, the tasks that need to be carried out regularly

- Clear out your Temporary files
During the normal operation of your computer, Windows and your other programs create an awful lot of temporary files. For the most part they are just that, temporary. But for any number of reasons, when they're no longer needed they don't get removed by the program that created them. So over time their number builds up, and unless you clear them out they can slow down your computer noticeably.
In the case of your browser, the problem can be worse. All browsers cache the web pages you visit. The original reason was to make loading pages faster. When everyone was on dial-up this was quite a good idea, but with modern fast connections it's mostly unnecessary now. However browsers still cache webpages, and unless cleaned out regularly they build up to a position where they can have some pretty dramatic effects on how your browser works. Any number of wierd browser problems are caused by nothing more than an overfull cache.
So once a month, or once a week if you're a heavy user, it's a good idea to clean out your Temporary files.
Quote:For users of XP
- Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup
- This will bring up the Disk Cleanup window.
- Check the following entries.
- Temporary Internet Files.
- Recycle Bin.
- Temporary Files.
- Click OK.
- When prompted whether you're sure you want to do this click Yes.

Please note the fact that it only works if the password to the MMC Card was set in ur own mobile, where u want it to be unlocked.
This method works well for nokia cells with symbian operating system.Never tried on other cells.use any software like FXplorer that can browse files in ur cell.
1. Open one of above software you have.
2. Browse through the directory, C:\system
3. Rename the file mmcstore to mmcstore.txt
4. Open the file - The file will open in Notes.
5. You will find your password in that file. That file would also contain much more data which you do not understand,so you need to go through the file to get the password!
When ur cell is connected to pc by means of data cable or bluetooth,u can see the password by simply opening the file mmcstore with notepad.

Global Windows Shortcuts
Win+1, 2, 3, 4, etc. will launch each program in your taskbar. It is helpful then to keep your most used programs at the beginning of your task bar so you can open them one right after another. This also works in Windows Vista for the quick launch icons.
Win+Alt+1, 2, 3, etc. will open the jump list for each program in the taskbar. You can then use your arrows to select which jump list option you want to open.
Win+T will cycle through taskbar programs. This is similar to just hovering over the item with your mouse but you can launch the program with Space or Enter.

Godmod in Vista and Windows 7

Although its name suggests perhaps even grander capabilities, Windows enthusiasts are excited over the discovery of a hidden "GodMode" feature that lets users access all of the operating system's control panels from within a single folder.
By creating a new folder in Windows 7 and renaming it with a certain text string at the end, users are able to have a single place to do everything from changing the look of the mouse pointer to making a new hard-drive partition.
The trick is also said to work in Windows Vista, although some are warning that although it works fine in 32-bit versions of Vista, it can cause 64-bit versions of that operating system to crash.
To enter "GodMode," one need only create a new folder and then rename the folder to the following:
GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
Once that is done, the folder's icon will change to resemble a control panel and will contain dozens of control options. I'm not sure it's my idea of playing God, but it is a handy way to get to all kinds of controls.

20 Tips To Increase Battery Life Of Your Laptop

Having defragmentation at regular intervals makes your data arranged in a more systematic order which makes the hard drive work less for accessing any of the data. The more quicker in the move of hard drive, lesser work load on the battery which helps your battery to last longer.
Tip 2. Reduce Processes:
Try to reduce the background processes which are not required. Also monitor the resource as how much usage it is accessing with the help of Windows Task Manager (in Windows). Make sure that if you are not using internet, it is safe to stop the non required programs which are running in the taskbar like the antivirus and or the firewall. Remove not necessary programs which are running during start-ups by launching the System Configuration Utility from Run – Msconfig – Tab Startup. Unclick the programs which are not required to launch and restart the computer once.
Tip 3. Apply Scheduled Tasks for Time Being:
Programs such as defragmentation or a virus scan should be scheduled for a time being when you are close to a power outlet.
